Receives Prestigious Contact Center Employer of Choice™ Award

Ontario – The Contact Center Employer of Choice organization
today announced that the City of Hamilton Customer Contact Centre has achieved
the prestigious first level designation of Contact Center Employer of Choice™.
The Contact Center Employer of Choice™ (CCEOC) award
program enables call centres to enhance public perception, provide exceptional
work environments,
and attract, retain and engage high performing, culturally aligned employees. “Employees
can feel proud of this designation and the contribution they make everyday
to providing outstanding service on behalf of the City of Hamilton” said
Jeff Doran, President of CCEOC. “This award differentiates City of
Hamilton as one of the best contact centres to work for in Canada.”
Verna Radford, Manager, Customer Contact Centre said, “We
decided to go after the CCEOC designation to formally recognize the outstanding
efforts of our employees and to reinforce the value our organization brings
to the rest of City of Hamilton government offices. Through the CCEOC Program
Summary Report, we gained tremendous insight into the motivators that drive
employee behaviour. We are committed to developing even better employee
focused programs to improve overall satisfaction and centre performance.”
City of Hamilton Customer Contact Center participated in the CCEOC program
so it could accurately target areas of opportunity for improving employee
satisfaction and specifically focus on the following areas:

open and trusting communications between staff and management
promoting
their expertise throughout the organization
The Contact Center Employer of Choice™ award is quickly becoming
the industry standard for recognizing people-centric contact centres. Through
the proprietary, two - phased assessment, the City of Hamilton was able
to quickly determine their level of qualification. Along with the designation,
they have the honour
of being listed in the CCEOC Registry and on the official corporate web
site www.ccemployerofchoice.com. They also receive the prestigious framed
certificate and are now entitled to use the CCEOC insignia for promotional
purposes.

On January 1, 2001, the Towns Ancaster, Dundas and Flamborough, the Township
of Glanbrook and the Cities of Hamilton and Stoney Creek were amalgamated
to become the new City of Hamilton. Hamilton has the ninth largest population
