Hamilton, Ontario – The Contact Center Employer of Choice organization today announced that the City of Hamilton Customer Contact Centre has achieved the prestigious first level designation of Contact Center Employer of Choice™.

The Contact Center Employer of Choice™ (CCEOC) award program enables call centres to enhance public perception, provide exceptional work environments, and attract, retain and engage high performing, culturally aligned employees. “Employees can feel proud of this designation and the contribution they make everyday to providing outstanding service on behalf of the City of Hamilton” said Jeff Doran, President of CCEOC. “This award differentiates City of Hamilton as one of the best contact centres to work for in Canada.”

Verna Radford, Manager, Customer Contact Centre said, “We decided to go after the CCEOC designation to formally recognize the outstanding efforts of our employees and to reinforce the value our organization brings to the rest of City of Hamilton government offices. Through the CCEOC Program Summary Report, we gained tremendous insight into the motivators that drive employee behaviour. We are committed to developing even better employee focused programs to improve overall satisfaction and centre performance.”

City of Hamilton Customer Contact Center participated in the CCEOC program so it could accurately target areas of opportunity for improving employee satisfaction and specifically focus on the following areas:

  • new opportunities for employee development

  • motivating & guiding employees

  • open and trusting communications between staff and management

  • promoting their expertise throughout the organization

  • The Contact Center Employer of Choice™ award is quickly becoming the industry standard for recognizing people-centric contact centres. Through the proprietary, two - phased assessment, the City of Hamilton was able to quickly determine their level of qualification. Along with the designation, they have the honour of being listed in the CCEOC Registry and on the official corporate web site www.ccemployerofchoice.com. They also receive the prestigious framed certificate and are now entitled to use the CCEOC insignia for promotional purposes.
